Apple Orchard was the main publication of the International Apple Core, which was an association of user groups. The idea of the magazine was to collect contributions written for the local newsletters of individual Apple II (and related) user groups. As time went on, it evolved to be a bit more like a conventional magazine.
In its first volume, Apple Orchard also contained the end of the run of Contact, which had been an Apple-internal publication.
Part of what got Apple Orchard into people’s hands was that it, at least for a time, had a partial subscription included with the Apple II when you bought it. There is some promotional material concerning that scanned here as well.
I believe that there were a couple of issues beyond the ones posted here, but I do not have them to scan. If you have one and can lend it to me, I’d happily scan it and include it here.
